Baby Bedding
Ok, so you have the crib, now what?
A mattress would be good for starters. Choose one that will give your baby good support while sleeping. After all, the more comfortable your child is, the less crying you will hear, ultimately making yourself more comfortable.
Next you will need sheets. A baby's skin is very sensitive so
it's recommended that you purchase 100% cotton sheets as other
fibers such as polyester may irritate your child's skin. It
is also a good idea to wash their sheets every couple of weeks
to help prevent germs that may accumulate from getting your
child sick.
Bumper pads are a good idea to have in your crib. These are quilted pads that run around the inside perimeter of the crib preventing your child from banging their head into the bars or from getting their arms or legs stuck. They also add a nice decorative touch to your child's crib.
Last, but not least, you will need blankets. It's recommended that you get various levels of thickness because temperatures can change in an instant. It is also important to remember that just because you are nice and warm it does not mean your baby is. New born babies are vulnerable to all kinds of sicknesses since their immune systems have not built up defenses yet to many common illnesses. For this reason, keeping your baby warm can help prevent your child from catching unnecessary illnesses.
