 Baby Binkies

Baby binkies can play an important role in an infant's life. It can be very soothing to young children as it may remind them of breast-feeding or make teething a more comforting experience. Baby binkies can also assist with putting your child to sleep or calming them down when upset. Since they come in all different shapes and firmness, you may want to consult with doctors or friends to see which ones babies tend to like most, or try out a couple on your child to see which one he or she prefers firsthand.

Info: Thumb or Pacifier?

There are some things to remember about baby binkies. You should always travel with at least one or two spares since children tend to drop these a lot. For that reason, it is a good idea to wash them at least once a day. You may want to get a strap for the binky that attaches to your child's clothing as a solution. Baby binkies can become a security item for children if they are used a lot so it is best to start weaning them away from binky use after they are about a year or so old. The reason you should wean them away is because long-term baby binky use is linked with the possibility of dental problems in the future.
