Baby
Cribs
You've carried your child a long nine months and just want to hold the little one all day. But you've got to let the little one get used to sleeping in a crib so as to not spoil him or her. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of options for finding the proper baby crib that will work for you and your child. You must first consider the amount of room you have to work with and then go from there.
After you decide which type of baby crib you want for you child, whether it be wooden or metallic, it would be a good idea to make sure that the slats are no more than 2 3/8 inches apart so the child cannot get his or her head stuck between them. It is also good to make sure that the baby crib has locking sides to prevent the child from releasing it and rolling out of the crib. It is also best to stay away from elaborately designed or carved out baby cribs that could allow the child to get its head stuck.
You may also want to get a bassinet for your newborn. These are especially nice in the first few months after the child is born because it makes it easier to pick up and put back your child rather than dealing with a crib with its high bars. When your child is just born they would have a difficult time getting out of one of these, plus they offer easy mobility so you could move it from your child's bedroom to your bedroom without much difficulty at all.
