Baby
Shower Invitations
It's been almost 9 months and your sister, best friend, cousin, etc. has no clue that you are planning on throwing her a baby shower. One thing to keep in mind is whom should you invite? The obvious people on the invite list would be immediate family and close friends of the mother-to-be. Then you have to decide how big of a shower you want to throw before you start inviting anyone else. Now would also be a good time to decide where you are going to have the shower because that could be a factor in deciding how many people to invite. Also keep in mind that even though baby showers have traditionally been gatherings of all women, more and more showers are coed these days.
When deciding on what type of baby shower invitations to send out think of your budget first. If there is a large guest list you may want to go down a more inexpensive route and buy some basic cards that could be found at any greeting store or retail store with a stationery department. However, if there is a smaller guest list and your budget can allow for it you may want to go down a more elaborate route. There are also many Internet sites that allow you to print out free invitations as well as send email invitations.
Baby shower invitations should be sent approximately 4-6 weeks prior to the shower and should include the following information:
-Name of mother-to-be
-Date
-Time
-Place
-Whether it's a surprise or not
-RSVP date with phone number, or a return card
